Product Description
If you have attended my classes on Archetypes, this work expands it and combines several books worth of material all in one for a lower price. The concept of archetypes and the most prominent ‘dark’ types are examined. This work is an in depth look at how the archetypes of the devil, vampires, Lilith and others are explored. How people adopt and connect with particular aspects of these archetypes, harnessing them. Archetypes can be looked at by examining behavior, images, art, myths, and religions etc. They are inherited potentials which are actualized when they enter consciousness as images or manifest in behavior on interaction with the outside world. Jung felt that archetypes were particularly important to personality and behavioral development because they “represent different potential ways in which we may express our humanness” that influence an individual’s make up. The persona, which symbolizes the mask one wears to present a favorable impression of the self and to gain social acceptance; the shadow, which personifies the negative, antisocial, animalistic side of each person that must be tamed to avoid destructive behavior; anima, which depicts the unconscious feminine side of the male psyche; and the animus, which expresses the unconscious masculine side of the female psyche.
This book collects the researchers previous works, extensively collected essays on Lilith, Lucifer, — plus unreleased work on Vampires and Werewolves, as well as expanded thoughts on the grim reaper, and others.
